The first Hilary J Clement and Friends Pop-up Gallery in downtown Greensboro, NC, was so much fun.  Hope you didn't miss it.  We had 35 local artists and over 500 pieces of art in one huge glass front store downtown for two months.  Thank you to everyone who stopped in and supported local artists.

Keep Smilin' - Izzy's Story by Amy L. Thornton

This book is the true story of a special little girl. I have been a friend of the family since they encouraged me to start playing softball when I was a girl. (My mom was thankful because she worried I wouldn't make friends easily and their act of kindness got me teammates and friends throughout school). Now, as an adult, I had the privilege of illustrating a book that tells people about the short but powerful life this girl lived. To learn more about the circumstsnces that defied odds to make this book happen, check out amysphotography.net and check out the Izzy's book section. Amy Thornton is Izzy's talented aunt and did a great job. "That they may have life and may have it more abundantly."  ~hilary

Almost Famous?  Here is a video shot for Made in the Carolinas.  (just a little nervous in this one)

Month of August - The Daily Doughnut.  A newspaper themed 4ft fiberglass doughnut painted to look like it is wrapped in newspaper.  All headlines are doughnut themed and somewhat silly.  Sunday Funnies on the top represent icing.  Coffee, doughnut and newspaper, what a better way to start your day?  Design chosen by Krispy Kreme for one of their 12 Doughnuts on Parade!  I designed and painted this doughnut which was in the Winston Salem holiday parade 2013, went on public display for a month and was then auctioned off to benefit the charity of my choice - The Winston Salem Street School.  Thanks to the generous person who bid and won my doughnut.  Enjoy! Now featured in the month of August in the Krispy Kreme 2015 calendar.

Cruising through Winston Salem in the 2014 Holiday Parade.  Lots of fun!

Cow Parade North Carolina 2012

This life-sized fiberglass cow dubbed "Bovine in Black and White" was designed and painted by hilary.  More than 60 cows were selected, painted, put on public display, and then auctioned off to benefit the North Carolina Children's Hospital in Chapel Hill.  Click here to learn more about Cow Parade.
